The Happy Gut Smoothie

This is a beautifully light, summery smoothie which will keep your tummy happy!


Ingredients

1 kiwi

7g peeled ginger

30g baby spinach

55g frozen avocado

145g frozen mango and pineapple

210ml cold water


Method

Add everything to a blender and blitz until smooth!

The frozen fruit and avocado make this smoothie taste like a summer ice lolly while the ginger gives it a little zingy kick!


So what are the health benefits??

Mangoes aid digestion and contribute towards a healthy gut

Pineapple are full of vitamin C, antioxidants and fibre, also contributing to gut health

Kiwi fruits are one of the best sources of vitamin C - 60g of kiwi provides 90% of your daily recommended allowance!

Ginger has long been used as an anti inflammatory and also aids digestion

Avocado are loaded with healthy non-saturated fats and fibre

Spinach is an excellent source of vitamin K as well as other essential vitamins and minerals
